The Village of Zahara de los Atunes

Zahara is a popular summer resort and has a handful of tasteful hotels, yet it remains an authentic Spanish village with a school, a church and a daily indoor market with stalls selling fruit, vegetables, meat and locally caught fish.

There are several shops including two small supermarkets (three in summer), two pharmacies and a bakery. The village provides a wonderful base from which to explore the Costa de la Luz, but if you just want to unwind without getting in the car then you will find everything that you need right here.

There is a good choice of reasonably priced bars and restaurants, many specialising in freshly caught fish.
